President's Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Australasian University Safety Association. The AUSA is the network of OHS professionals servicing the tertiary education and research sector of Australasia.
The AUSA website provides links to the OHS pages of member organisations and other reputable OHS resources (see Web Sites and Resources).
In addition to the website, the AUSA has an electronic mailing list for communication within the network. This resource allows members to distribute to, or seek information from, other AUSA members on any OHS topic (see Mailing List).
The AUSA network is both professional and collegial. Applications for membership from within the sector are welcomed (see About).
AUSA PPI Benchmarking Survey 2008
Your participation in the Association's Positive Performance Indicator (PPI) Benchmarking Survey is encouraged and welcome. We are seeking responses (one from each Institution) for the 2008 Survey by close of business on Thursday 7 August 2008.
The question set for the Survey is available for download in Microsoft Word format (132 Kb).
Announcement of AUSA 2009 Conference Venue
The 2009 AUSA Conference will be held at the University of Technology, Sydney during the week of 6-10 July 2009. The city based UTS campus provides an exciting new venue for AUSA Conference delegates and affords ready access to the city of Sydney and transport beyond.
The AUSA affiliate organisations CSHEMA (USA) and USHA (UK) are also holding their annual conferences. For details please visit the "Conferences" section.
